The project team of “National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC (KTZ) and the “Tengizchevroil” LLC (TCO) representatives held a working visit within the project “Implementation of the new model for occupational safety management of KTZ” of the Business Transformation Programme.
During the meeting colleagues from TCO shared their successful experience on introduction of the model for the system of occupational safety management. In order to achieve a leading position in Chevron, TCO since 1994 has begun to implement a system of safe operations.
Support and active involvement of the TCO employees are important conditions for successful changes in the sphere of improving the safety culture at production site. All meetings, even non-production ones, begin with a minute of safety with a briefing.
Besides, taking into the account the fact that people are the main value of TCO, the practice of using the “Fatality Prevention” sign has been introduced in the company’s activities along with the TCO logo.
In their turn, KTZ employees have told about the work done within the project. The project completes the stage “Realization” and today has provided the growth of safety culture at the production site.
As the meeting participants have noted that such meetings on professional experience exchange should be held on the regular basis for successful project implementation.
At the same time, during the trip, the team of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy has visited the production site at Makhambet station, where colleagues were presented with examples of safe working methods and the introduction of advanced international experience on the maintenance of the seamless way.
