What should you do if you've forgotten something on a train or at a station?
01-04-2026
Passengers often forget or lose personal belongings on trains. JSC Passenger Transportation reminds you how to act in such situations and where to return lost items. If you discover you've forgotten something in a train car after the train has already departed, please follow these instructions:
1) If a passenger has forgotten an item, they can retrieve it from the train crew if they find it, as long as the train is still at the station and there is sufficient time (10-40 minutes) before departure.
2) If the train has already departed, passengers can contact the official Instagram account @jolaushylar_tasymaly or WhatsApp at +7 776 714 5686 for a quick response.
3) Passengers can also contact the station attendant and submit a report to the station master, stating the carriage number, location, and description of the lost items. A request for the items to be forwarded must be included in the report.
4) If the conductor finds the lost items, they are handed over to the train master and sent to the collection point. Items are stored at the station and returned to the owner after an ID check.
Video cameras installed on trains reduce the risk of lost items by 92%. JSC Passenger Transportation recommends that passengers closely monitor their personal belongings and, if necessary, immediately seek assistance, following established instructions.
Passengers can obtain information by calling the toll-free number "1433."
