Two railway stations reconstructed in Karaganda region

As part of the railway infrastructure modernization program, the reconstruction of the Dariya and Myrza stations has been completed in the Karaganda region. The work was carried out in execution of the Head of State's directive, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, the Akimat of Karaganda Region, and Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

The Dariya railway station was built in 1940 and covers an area of 757.4 square meters. The project included a comprehensive overhaul of the two-story building, modernization of the engineering infrastructure, and the creation of new evacuation routes in compliance with fire safety regulations. A total of 10 passenger trains transit through the station, providing rail links to Astana, Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Semey, Balkhash, Pavlodar, Turkestan, Shymkent, Shu, Taraz, Mangistau, and Beyneu.

The Myrza railway station was built in 1987 and spans an area of 479.3 square meters. During the modernization process, engineering utilities, interior premises, and the building's facade were updated, alongside the implementation of fire safety measures and improvements to passenger comfort. The station serves 6 passenger trains connecting the region with Karaganda, Kostanay, Astana, and Kokshetau.

Domestically produced materials were utilized for the reconstruction of both stations. The modernized facilities comply with contemporary safety, accessibility, and comfort standards, creating a more convenient environment for passengers.

The implementation of this project contributes to the development of the Karaganda region's transport infrastructure, enhances the quality of passenger transportation, and shapes a unified, modern image for Kazakhstan's railway stations. The project was funded through NC KTZ JSC’s own resources.
