The development of cooperation between KTZ and Citi was discussed ahead of the upcoming Foreign Investors’ Council

Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Management Board of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, held a meeting with Stephanie von Friedeburg, Managing Director and Global Head at Citi. The meeting took place ahead of the upcoming plenary session of the Foreign Investors’ Council with the participation of the Head of State.

The parties discussed current cooperation and prospects for implementing joint projects. They highlighted the successful experience of collaboration in attracting international financing, as well as in executing projects in the areas of sustainable finance and locomotive fleet modernization.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed issues of Citi's further participation in financing KTZ's infrastructure projects, the development of the Middle Corridor, and other matters.

Following the negotiations, the parties reaffirmed their interest in further expanding their strategic partnership.
