Since the beginning of summer, JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy has been implementing the nationwide preventive campaigns "Safe Crossing" and "Safe Railway" as part of the "Law and Order" Concept initiated by the Head of State. The events are taking place in all regions of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Transport Police Department, regional police units, the transport prosecutor's office, and local executive bodies.

The primary focus is on preventing violations at railway crossings and rail infrastructure sites. Railroad workers remind drivers of the rules for crossing tracks, pedestrians of the need to cross tracks only at designated locations, and parents of their responsibility for their children's safety. During the meetings, they also explain the risks of being near the railway, the dangers of playing on the tracks, and the hazards of attempting to take selfies on railcars or near overhead contact system facilities.

As part of the initiatives, teams are conducting raids at railway crossings, delivering preventive lectures at driving schools, holding meetings with commercial drivers at transport companies, and speaking with train passengers and residents of communities located near the tracks. Participants receive informational flyers and get answers to their questions regarding compliance with safety regulations.

The campaigns have already been held in the Kostanay, Kyzylorda, and Karaganda regions, the Abai region, the city of Shymkent, and other regions across the country.

For instance, in the Kostanay region, preventive activities took place at the Kushmurun station and at the "Virage Auto-2012" driving school in the city of Kostanay. Since the beginning of the year, 105 raids have been conducted here, reaching 2,370 drivers with safety information, and 10 meetings have been organized at commercial transport companies.

In the Abai region, 278 residents and 123 drivers participated in preventive discussions and received safety flyers during the "Safe Railway" campaign.

In the Karaganda region, 105 preventive meetings have been held since the start of the year, reaching 1,394 people; additionally, 65 raids were organized, and 1,002 drivers completed safety briefings. Livestock owners received 2,724 notices regarding the strict prohibition of animals entering railway tracks, and 13 individuals were held administratively liable. In the Kyzylorda region, 31 drivers completed briefings on safely crossing railway tracks, while in Shymkent, 141 passenger car and truck drivers received the training.

A separate initiative of the preventive work is being carried out aboard passenger trains. Joint raids are organized with the transport police to explain rules of conduct during transit, personal safety measures, and liability for public order violations to passengers.

KTZ continues its systematic preventive efforts aimed at reducing the number of incidents on rail infrastructure, fostering a culture of safe behavior, and protecting the lives and health of citizens.
