Reconstruction of Two Stations Completed in Aktobe Region, Five More Facilities

Murat Toregeldin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy," inspected the progress of railway station reconstructions in the Aktobe region. Representatives of the akimat, project managers, and heads of KTZ regional branches also participated in the working trip. They inspected the stations at Aktobe, Alga, and Kandayagash, among other facilities.

In the Aktobe region, the modernization of two railway stations was completed in July—at Shalkar station (built in 1909, with a daily passenger traffic of over 1.4 thousand people) and Shubarkudyk station (built in 2012, with a daily passenger traffic of 116 people). Reconstruction is ongoing at five more facilities. The works are being carried out on behalf of the Head of State, funded by JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "Samruk-Kazyna," and the regional akimat.

The reconstruction of the Aktobe station building, built in 1976, is in its final stages. The station serves over 5,000 passengers daily. Foundation work, structural framing, and the installation of the roof and facade have been completed here. Interior finishing, installation of engineering systems, ventilation, and air conditioning, as well as platform paving and landscaping of the surrounding territory, are ongoing.

At the Kandayagash station (built in 1984, with a daily passenger traffic of 610 people), roofing work has been completed. Facade installation, interior finishing, and the setup of engineering networks are underway. The contracting organization has been instructed to accelerate the execution of construction and assembly works.

Construction and assembly works are ongoing at Zhem station (built in 1905, daily passenger traffic of 329 people), Alga station (built in 1935, daily passenger traffic of 90 people), and Karaulkeldy station (built in 2012, daily passenger traffic of 85 people).

Following the inspection, and in order to prevent any schedule delays, contracting organizations were instructed to increase the number of workers, organize a two-shift work schedule, and accelerate the pace of construction.

Overall, across the country, construction and assembly works have been completed at 70 railway stations.
