Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company (NC) calls on drivers to strictly adhere to safety regulations when crossing railway crossings.
In the first quarter of 2026, four traffic accidents were recorded at railway crossings. All incidents occurred at unguarded, controlled crossings and resulted from traffic violations by drivers of vehicles with properly functioning crossing signals.
KTZ reminded drivers that railway vehicles have priority over other road users at railway crossings.
To improve safety, the company is conducting comprehensive preventative measures across all regions of the country. In the first quarter of 2026, 296 preventative inspections were conducted, during which 16 violations were identified. Over 150,000 drivers have been briefed on the rules for crossing crossings. Meetings with representatives of 113 businesses were organized, attended by approximately 3,000 people.
