In order to meet passenger demand, ensure transport accessibility for residents of the Akmola and Kostanay regions, and create comfortable conditions for passenger transportation, the management of JSC "Passenger Transportation" has decided to extend the service of train No. 225/226 on the "Nurly Zhol – Arkalyk" route until the end of 2026.
"Initially, train No. 225/226 'Nurly Zhol – Arkalyk' was assigned on a test basis until the end of August to study passenger traffic. After reviewing citizens' requests and considering the actual demand, a decision was made to extend its service until the end of the current year. A special feature of this route is the launch of satellite internet based on Starlink technology. In addition, the convenient timetable allows passengers to comfortably plan trips between the regions. Overall, extending the route aims to ensure stable transport links and improve the quality and accessibility of passenger transportation," noted Anuar Akhmetzhanov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Passenger Transportation."
Passengers will be transported in RWS Wagon carriages built in 2024. The train composition includes 3 compartment (kupe) and 3 open-berth (platskart) carriages, designed to transport more than 250 passengers in one direction.
