National Carrier appoints "Nurly Zhol – Arkalyk" passenger train

JSC "Passenger Transportation" is appointing train No. 225/226 on the "Nurly Zhol – Arkalyk" route from August 2, 2026. The train is being introduced to ensure transport accessibility for residents of the Kostanay and Akmola regions, as well as passengers traveling towards Arkalyk. Previously, only a private carrier operated on this route.

Passengers will be transported in RWS Wagon carriages built in 2024. The train consists of 3 compartment (kupe) and 3 economy class (platskart) carriages, designed to carry more than 250 passengers in one direction.

The carriages are manufactured in compliance with modern global requirements for safety, reliability, and comfort. The compartments are equipped with ergonomic berths, individual LED lights, USB ports, and power outlets. For passengers with disabilities, special compartments, wheelchair spaces, and a conductor call button are provided. The service life of the carriages is up to 40 years.

The train will run every other day:

• departing from Nurly Zhol station — from August 2 to August 30 on even days;
• departing from Arkalyk station — from August 3 to August 31 on odd days.
   

Schedule

From Nurly Zhol station:

• departure — 23:05
• arrival at Arkalyk station — 09:16
   

From Arkalyk station:

• departure — 21:20
• arrival at Nurly Zhol station — 07:16

En route, the train will stop at Nurly Zhol, Zhaltyr, Atbasar, Zhaksy, Yesil, Derzhavinskaya, Arkalyk, and other stations.

Fares

• compartment (kupe) — 9,900 tenge;
• economy class (platskart) — 6,800 tenge.

Discount cards "Altyn", "Altyn 1", "Sayahatshy", and "Zhastar" are valid for this train.
