10-03-2026
As part of the implementation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan's program "A Fair Kazakhstan – for Everyone," the systematic modernization of the country's railway infrastructure continues.
Renovation of 11,000 kilometers of railway track is planned for 2023–2029. This program aims to improve train safety, increase the capacity of the main network, and ensure the sustainable development of the transport industry.
By the end of 2023–2025, 4,448 kilometers of track were repaired, compared to the planned 4,214 kilometers. This exceeds the plan by 234 kilometers, reflecting the program's steady progress.
Repair of 1,577 kilometers of track is planned for 2026. This year's production program has already begun in the southern regions of the country. All preparatory work was completed within the established timeframe, ensuring timely and high-quality track work.
The consistent implementation of the railway infrastructure modernization program is an important step in strengthening the transit potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan and creating a modern, reliable, and safe transportation system.
