The modern locomotives have replenished the KTZ fleet

In the first quarter of 2026, KTZ's fleet was expanded with 24 new locomotives: mainline diesel locomotives manufactured by Wabtec and CRRC, electric locomotives manufactured by Alstom, and shunting diesel locomotives from CRRC. The locomotives have entered service at depots in Astana, Karaganda, Zhem, Atyrau, and Mangystau.

The new railway engine improves traffic safety and working conditions for its operators. All units have undergone laboratory testing, meet requirements and are adapted for operation in extreme climatic conditions.
