Protocol of the XL Meeting of the OSJD Conference of General Directors of Railways Signed in Astana

The Plenary Session of the XL Conference of General Directors of Railways of the Organization for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD) was held in the capital of Kazakhstan. The work of the international event was opened by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, who emphasized the strategic role of railways in strengthening the region's transit potential.

The extensive agenda covered the entire range of issues related to the strategic management of the railway industry.

The event brought together over 300 heads and representatives of railways and railway transportation companies from more than 30 countries worldwide.

The anniversary meeting served as a working platform for developing coordinated solutions for the development of international railway transportation, exchanging experience, and discussing further cooperation. Key attention was paid to increasing freight turnover, modernizing infrastructure, implementing paperless technologies and intelligent management systems, as well as to the training of industry personnel.

Following the event, an official signing of the protocol took place, defining the vector of development of international logistics for years to come.
