In Kyzylorda region, Sekseul railway station built in 1904 has been modernized

The reconstruction of the Sekseul railway station has been completed in the Kyzylorda region. Originally built in 1904, the station has been completely modernized. Following the reconstruction, it now stands as a state-of-the-art, single-story building spanning an area of 454.03 square meters.

The scope of work included upgrading the facade, roof, and interior premises. Aluminum stained-glass windows with energy-saving double-glazed units were installed, engineering networks were replaced, and the surrounding area was landscaped. Domestically produced materials were utilized throughout the reconstruction process.

The station serves an average of 289 passengers daily. A total of 30 passenger trains transit through the station, providing rail links to Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Atyrau, Pavlodar, Kyzylorda, Aktobe, Uralsk, Mangistau, Zhezkazgan, Shymkent, Turkestan, Shu, and Taraz, as well as connections to the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic.

The reconstruction was carried out as part of the railway infrastructure modernization program, in execution of the Head of State's directive, and with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, the Akimat of Kyzylorda Region, and Samruk-Kazyna JSC. The project was funded through NC KTZ JSC’s own resources.

The modernized station meets contemporary safety, accessibility, and comfort standards, ensuring a more convenient experience for passengers.
