09-04-2026
In the Almaty region, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy continues to implement a large-scale environmental project to plant over 100,000 trees as a compensation for environmental impacts.
This initiative is part of the construction of a new railway line bypassing the Almaty station hub and aims to fully restore the region's ecosystem in accordance with the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This work has become an important part of KTZ's participation in the nationwide environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan." As part of its environmental commitments, the company will plant over 100,000 trees in the Almaty region, making a significant contribution to the large-scale greening of the country and the development of an environmental culture.
Planting work began on March 15, 2026. Significant interim results have already been achieved: 16,000 trees have been planted near the village of Akshi in the Ili District, and over 8,000 more saplings have been planted in the village of Nura in the Talgar District. A specialized organization is carrying out the work in strict compliance with agricultural standards and environmental safety requirements.
For JSC NC KTZ, the implementation of such projects is an integral part of its sustainable development strategy and social responsibility in the construction of large infrastructure facilities.
The creation of a large-scale green space helps reduce dust levels, improve air quality, strengthen the soil, and create a favorable microclimate.
The project is being implemented according to plan. Completion of all planting stages will significantly enhance the environmental sustainability of the Almaty region.
