KTZ volunteers organize excursion to unique railway mega-museum for orphanage children

JSC "NC "KTZ" organized a large-scale charitable trip to Astana for more than 20 children from the "Center for Support of Children in Need of Special Social Services of the Osakarovka District," an institution under the Education Department of the Karaganda Region. During the trip, the children became some of the very first visitors to the new Museum of the History of Kazakhstan Railways, themed "From the Silk Road to Steel Mainlines." Covering an area of 3,200 square meters, this ultra-modern cultural and educational complex served as a unique interactive and career guidance platform for orphans and children left without parental care.

The museum fund comprises more than 250 unique exhibits distributed across four thematic halls, where authentic historical materials are harmoniously combined with cutting-edge digital technologies, including multimedia screens, as well as AR and VR solutions. During the tour, the children were able to closely study original locomotives and rolling stock models that played a key role in the development of the country's transport network. These included the ChME3 and 2TEM10 series shunting diesel locomotives, the VL80 freight electric locomotive, and the TEP70 passenger diesel locomotive. They were also able to personally explore the interior and innovations of the new-generation CR200J passenger car.

The children were particularly thrilled by the practical part of the program, which was conducted by an experienced tour guide. The guide demonstrated the operation of a professional simulator, allowing the children to try themselves in the role of a train driver managing a heavy train under conditions that closely replicate reality.

An educator accompanying the children from Osakarovka expressed sincere gratitude to the management and staff of JSC "NC "KTZ" for organizing such a beneficial trip. He particularly emphasized that the company's volunteers have been providing continuous support to their institution for a long time and have become reliable, time-tested friends to the children.

"Such trips not only give children bright, unforgettable emotions, but also make a colossal contribution to their socialization, the expansion of their horizons, and their professional self-determination. The long-term, systemic care from the railway workers helps the children look to the future with more confidence and opens up new life prospects for them," noted educator Elvin Ramizovich Aliev.

At the conclusion of the eventful day, KTZ volunteers presented the children with fresh fruit and sweets, making this holiday even more joyful and memorable.
