KTZ summarized the results of work at the Dostyk border station

At Dostyk station, Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KTZ, held a meeting to discuss the company's performance over the past year and its objectives for the current year.

At the end of the year, growth in freight turnover, transportation volumes, and exports was noted. Second tracks were introduced on the Dostyk-Moiynty section, and traffic was opened on the bypass line of the Almaty station hub. Work on modernizing and constructing railway infrastructure continues.

Following the meeting, instructions were given to strengthen coordination among transportation participants in the direction of China, ensure timely transhipment of cargo to achieve the required volume of transportation between Kazakhstan and China, ensure uninterrupted infrastructure operation, and complete the modernization of the Altynkol-Zhetygen section and the construction of second tracks on the Dostyk-Alashankou section.

To increase terminal capacity, the reconstruction of the freight terminal at Dostyk station and the expansion of the container terminal at Altynkol station have been instructed to accelerate.

The Chairman of the Management Board also assessed the progress of repairs to the station building and visited the modern centralized control center, which ensures 24/7 coordination of train and shunting operations. Key workstations are located here: the shunting dispatcher, the station duty officer, the centralized control center operators, and the dispatchers. The coordinated work of this team, in close coordination with colleagues from China Railways, enables the efficient planning and operation of trains, monitoring their arrival and departure, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of transportation at one of the country's most important transport hubs.

Furthermore, 43 employees and partners at Dostyk station were awarded for their contribution to the development of transportation on the Kazakhstan-China border route.
