KTZ prepares wagon fleet for coal transportation in upcoming heating season

Kaztemirtrans JSC, a subsidiary of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, is currently preparing its wagon fleet for transportation during the autumn-winter period. Special attention is being paid to ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of socially significant goods, primarily coal, for the 2026–2027 heating season.

With the onset of cold weather, transportation volumes traditionally increase, which is why the rolling stock is being prepared well in advance. This will ensure the stable operation of the wagon fleet during peak load periods and the timely delivery of coal to consumers.

The preparation includes a comprehensive set of technical and organizational measures. Wagons are undergoing planned and routine repairs, and specialists are verifying their technical condition and readiness for winter operations.

In total, maintenance and preventive work will cover more than 28,000 freight cars.

These ongoing measures aim to increase the reliability of the transportation process and guarantee the seamless transit of coal to the country's regions throughout the heating season.
