KTZ firefighting trains helped extinguish steppe fires in Akmola and Pavlodar regions

On July 15, 2026, firefighting trains of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" from the Yereymentau and Ekibastuz stations were deployed to extinguish steppe fires near the railway infrastructure.

Fires were recorded on the Yereymentau – Turgay and Ekibastuz-2 – OP-116 line sections. Thanks to the prompt actions of the Company's firefighting service employees, the spread of fire to railway infrastructure facilities was prevented. The fires were extinguished in a timely manner.

There were no casualties. Train traffic operated as scheduled.

According to preliminary information, the fires were caused by the spread of flames from steppe fires continuing in the region amid abnormally hot weather.

JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" continues around-the-clock monitoring of the fire situation at railway infrastructure facilities and remains in constant readiness for prompt response to emergencies.
