KTZ ensures uninterrupted train service in extreme weather conditions

Despite challenging weather conditions in Kazakhstan, accompanied by severe frosts, snowstorms, and gale-force winds, JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy continues to ensure the stable operation of its mainline network. Currently, approximately 350 access tracks are covered by snowdrifts, and station tracks have also been blocked in several regions, creating additional difficulties for the delivery and removal of railcars.

To minimize the impact of the storm, around-the-clock infrastructure cleanup and restoration of normal service are underway on railway sections.

Particular attention is being paid to the Dostyk - Alashankou section, where strong winds force train traffic to comply with strict safety restrictions, including the passage of heavy trains.

KTZ is constantly monitoring the situation and is taking all necessary measures to ensure the stable operation of rail transport and the safety of transportation.
