KTZ and Huawei discussed the implementation of advanced AI technologies in rail transportation

As part of his working visit to China, Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Management  Board of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, visited the Shenzhen Transportation Bureau and held several meetings with Huawei management.

During the visit, the head of KTZ met with Liang Hua, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and Zuo Meng, President of the Smart Transport Business Unit.
KTZ's cooperation with Huawei is developing successfully, becoming a key element of the technological dialogue and strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China. The companies' shared strategic goal is to build a modern, intelligent "smart railway" based on advanced communications technologies, big data, cloud computing, and AI solutions.

The KTZ working delegation learned about Huawei's globally implemented projects for smart management in transport and rail transportation, a transparency center, cybersecurity, and privacy protection, and innovative developments in security, dispatching, and the application of AI technologies in rail transport.

During the working visit, a protocol was signed at Huawei's headquarters on further cooperation between the parties, which will focus on the transition to new generations of FRMCS communications, the development of Big Data and cloud infrastructure, the implementation of AI-based systems to ensure rail safety, and the increase in backbone network capacity and transportation efficiency.

Particular attention was paid to developing KTZ's human resources through joint training and professional development programs for the company's specialists, including its youth talent pool.
