Kazakhstan and Iran strengthen cooperation in port Infrastructure

Today, as part of an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ms. Farzaneh Sadegh, Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited Kuryk Port LLP.
Yerkin Nygmetov, Director General of Kuryk Port LLP, presented the port's infrastructure to the Iranian delegation and outlined its current operational capabilities along with future development prospects.
During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding cooperation in transport and logistics interaction, increasing mutual trade volumes, and developing Trans-Caspian routes. Special attention was paid to improving the efficiency of multimodal transportation and strengthening the role of Kuryk Port in international supply chains.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further developing the partnership and expanding practical cooperation in maritime and port infrastructure.
