JSC NC KTZ implements modernization of Altynkol – Zhetygen railway infrastructure section

The throughput capacity of Kazakhstan's railways is increasing on the modernized Altynkol–Zhetygen section due to 5 new sidings built from scratch, as well as additional reception and departure tracks constructed at 7 existing separation points.

All work was completed ahead of the approved schedules.

JSC NC KTZ has implemented the modernization of the Altynkol–Zhetygen railway infrastructure section as part of a large-scale Program for the renewal and repair of active lines stretching over 3,000 km.

During the project implementation, the modernization of 293 km of railway track on the Altynkol–Zhetygen section was completed.

The completion of the section's modernization is aimed at improving infrastructure reliability, increasing the throughput capacity of the railway line, and ensuring the sustainable development of the country's transport corridors.
