Heavy track machinery used to upgrade railway track on Aksholak–Ushbulak section

A continuous replacement of under-rail foundations is being carried out on the Aksholak–Ushbulak section of the Zhambyl Trunk Network Department. The works are performed on the odd-numbered track in the section from km 3542 PK 8 to km 3536 PK 3 within a 60-hour technological "window." Operations are conducted around the clock, during both day and night shifts.

Over 100 workers from the Zhambyl Trunk Network Department, along with employees from the Shu and Agadyr track divisions, are involved in the repairs.

A complex of heavy track machinery is utilized to perform the work. The SMD machine demounts old sleepers and lays new ones, the MKT redistributes ballast from the shoulder to the sleepers, the RM cleans contaminated ballast, and the KhDV lays new ballast. ELB, VPO, DM, DGS, and PBR machines perform track lining and leveling, bringing its parameters up to regulatory requirements.

This integrated technology allows a large volume of work to be completed in tight deadlines and restores the operational performance of the track.

Once the repairs are completed, the reliability of the railway track and train traffic safety will increase.
