Five Railway Stations Renovated in Akmola Region

The reconstruction of five railway stations—Derzhavinskaya, Ulenty, Ereymentau, Erkinshilik, and Zhaltyr—has been completed in the Akmola region.

As part of the project's implementation, the existing buildings at Derzhavinskaya and Zhaltyr stations were reconstructed. At Ulenty, Ereymentau, and Erkinshilik stations, the old buildings were completely demolished and replaced with new, modern passenger complexes. At Zhaltyr station, a comprehensive reconstruction of the existing building was carried out alongside the modernization of its engineering infrastructure.

Water supply, sewerage, heating, and power supply systems were upgraded at all facilities; interior finishing works were completed; surrounding areas were landscaped; and new furniture and modern technological equipment were installed. Durable and fire-safe materials of domestic production were used during construction. In accordance with fire safety regulations, additional emergency exits have been provided. To ensure the accessibility of railway infrastructure, ramps for passengers with limited mobility were installed at the Ulenty, Ereymentau, Erkinshilik, and Zhaltyr stations.

The Derzhavinskaya railway station, built in 1960, is now a modern, one-story building covering an area of 225.33 square meters after its reconstruction. Six passenger trains pass through the station, providing connections to Astana, Kostanay, and Arkalyk.

The Ulenty station, commissioned in 1952, was reconstructed with an increase in area from 211 to 225.33 square meters. Eight passenger trains pass through the station, connecting the settlement with Astana, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Pavlodar, Semey, Turkistan, and Mangistau.

At the Ereymentau station, the station building originally constructed in 1953 was upgraded. Following the reconstruction, its area increased from 380 to 430.57 square meters. Eighteen passenger trains pass through the station, providing connections to Astana, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Pavlodar, Semey, Oskemen, Zhezkazgan, Kyzylorda, Turkistan, and Mangistau.

The Erkinshilik station, built in 1960, was also completely renovated. The building's area increased from 195.8 to 225.33 square meters. Ten passenger trains pass through the station, connecting it with Astana, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Pavlodar, Semey, Turkistan, and Shymkent.

At the Zhaltyr station, the building's area was increased from 370 to 442.8 square meters. The one-story station, built in 1958, was fully updated using modern construction solutions and domestically produced materials. Following the reconstruction, the Type 2 station fully complies with modern safety, comfort, and accessibility requirements. Six passenger trains pass through the station daily, providing connections to Astana, Arkalyk, and Atbasar.

The reconstruction of these stations aims to improve passenger service quality, create a comfortable and safe environment, and ensure the accessibility of railway infrastructure for all categories of citizens. The updated stations meet modern transport infrastructure requirements and will contribute to the further development of the country's railway network.
