Five railway stations have reopened after reconstruction across three regions of the country

In the Kostanay, Atyrau, and West Kazakhstan regions, the reconstruction of five railway stations has been completed: Amankaragai, Kushmurun, Ganyushkino, Akkystau, and Semiglavat Mar. The works were carried out as part of the railway infrastructure modernization program in accordance with instructions from the Head of State and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the Kostanay Region, the Amankaragai railway station (built in 1961) and the Kushmurun railway station (built in 1949) have been upgraded. At these facilities, the buildings were completely reconstructed, roofs and engineering networks were replaced, interior and exterior finishing were completed, modern ventilation and fire alarm systems were installed, and the surrounding areas were landscaped. Modern restrooms have been equipped for passengers, anti-vandal seating has been installed, tactile navigation has been introduced, and accessible conditions for passengers with limited mobility have been created. Additionally, at the Amankaragai station, the side platform was lengthened, and its lighting and pavement were updated. Thirteen passenger trains operate in the region, which have been used by 92.3 thousand passengers since the beginning of 2026.

In the Atyrau Region, the reconstruction of the Ganyushkino and Akkystau railway stations has been completed. At these facilities, the facades and interior spaces were renovated, engineering networks and roofs were replaced, new furniture and equipment were installed, and the surrounding areas were landscaped. The floor area of the Ganyushkino station was increased from 249.5 to 713.3 square meters, and the Akkystau station from 202.3 to 214.7 square meters. Nine passenger trains operate across the region, which have carried 253.8 thousand passengers since the beginning of 2026.

In the West Kazakhstan Region, the Semiglavat Mar railway station, originally built in 1916, has reopened after reconstruction. A comprehensive set of repair and restoration works was carried out in the building, utility lines were upgraded, and the surrounding area was landscaped. Twenty-two passenger trains operate in the region, which have been used by 124.8 thousand passengers since the beginning of 2026.

All works were completed using modern, Kazakhstani-produced construction materials.The upgraded railway stations comply with modern standards for safety, accessibility, and comfort.

The implementation of these projects has enhanced the quality of passenger service and created more convenient conditions for residents and visitors of the regions.
