Drivers and pedestrians were reminded of railway safety rules in Semey

At the Semey station, as part of the implementation of the "Law and Order" Concept, a republican preventative campaign titled "Safe Railway" was held. It aimed at preventing traffic accidents and increasing the culture of safe behavior at railway transport facilities.

The event took place near the "Zhansaya" market and at the railway crossing located at the 656th kilometer of the Semey – Left Irtysh section. Representatives of the transport prosecution service of the Abai region, the line police department, and railway transport workers participated in the campaign.

During the event, participants carried out explanatory work with drivers and pedestrians, reminding them of the need to follow safety rules when crossing railway tracks and intersections. Special attention was paid to complying with road signs, traffic lights, and audio signals, as well as crossing tracks strictly in designated areas.

Information leaflets were distributed to 278 Semey residents and 123 drivers.

Railway workers remind that violating safety rules at crossings and tracks can lead to tragic consequences. Compliance with the Rules of the Road and attentiveness when crossing railways remain critical conditions for preserving life and health.

The "Safe Railway" campaign is taking place in all regions of Kazakhstan and is part of systematic preventative work aimed at reducing violations and increasing the level of safety at railway infrastructure facilities.
