24-04-2026
The Board and General Meeting of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) International Association were held in Astana, following which the participating countries approved a detailed work plan for 2026. The chairman of the meeting was the head of JSC "NС "Kazakstan Temir Zholy" Talgat Aldybergenov. The TITR countries of Kazakhstan, China, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, as well as a number of European countries, including Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Romania, and individual foreign partners, including Singapore, took part in these meetings.
The key focus is the digitalization of transportation. Participants agreed to implement electronic document management using digital signatures, as well as to organize direct data exchange between customs authorities and all participants in the transportation process. This will reduce cargo transit time and increase the transparency of operations along the entire route.
The approved plan envisages an increase in container traffic volumes, including the transit of 600 container trains from China through Kazakhstan this year. At the same time, coordination between Caspian Sea ports and terminals will be strengthened, and technological processes at key sections of the route will be optimized.
Following the meetings, a number of documents were signed. The decisions taken are aimed at further strengthening the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route as a key transit corridor between Asia and Europe.
