Chairman of the Management board of KTZ visits shunting interlocking post and reviews progress of Astana-1 station construction

Yelzhas Otynshiyev, Chairman of the Management board of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy", made an introductory working visit to the technical yard of the Astana station.

During the visit, the head of the company reviewed the operational processes of the electrical interlocking (EI) shunting post, as well as the operational technology of the shunting system and the shunting hump at the Astana-1 station. Special attention during the inspection was paid to the readiness of special rolling stock designed for emergency recovery operations, prompt elimination of the consequences of traffic safety violations, and firefighting.

Additionally, Yelzhas Otynshiyev met with the contracting organization responsible for the reconstruction of the Astana-1 railway station and reviewed the progress of construction work. Currently, work is ongoing on the installation of the roof, facade, platform, and concourse walkway, while interior finishing is underway alongside the installation of water supply, sewerage, heating, power supply, ventilation, and communication systems.

Following the visit, the Chairman of the Management Board of KTZ issued a series of instructions to further improve the reliability of railway facilities and ensure strict compliance with safety regulations.
