Chairman of the Management Board of KTZ and akim of Mangystau region inspected the modernization of Aktau railway station

Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Management Board of NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC, together with Nurdaulet Kilybay, Akim of the Mangystau region, reviewed the progress of the modernization of the Aktau railway station.
The modernization of the station is being carried out as part of the instructions of the Head of State and the Government to develop transport infrastructure and is aimed at improving the quality of passenger service, safety, and comfort levels.
During the working visit, the KTZ head assessed the pace and quality of construction and installation works, as well as the facility's readiness for commissioning.
Following the visit, instructions were issued to ensure compliance with the approved modernization schedule, strengthen control over the quality of the work performed, and complete all activities within the designated timeframe.
The railway station holds significant social importance for the region. In the first half of 2026, over 280,000 passengers were transported through the Mangystau region. Six KTZ trains and seven international transit trains operate in the region.
In March-April of this year, as part of the rolling stock renewal program, KTZ upgraded three train sets of route No. 109/110, consisting of 30 new domestically produced passenger cars by RWS Wagon. It is noted that train No. 109/110 "Mangystau - Aktobe" is one of the key routes in the western region of Kazakhstan, providing regular rail connectivity between the Mangystau and Aktobe regions.
