The national carrier has transported over 3 million passengers since the start of the year

Passenger Transportation JSC summarized its performance for the first quarter of 2026. During this period, approximately 3.2 million passengers used National Carrier trains.

The highest passenger traffic was traditionally recorded in the country's three largest cities. For example, 503,731 passengers traveled by rail to Astana. 485,757 passengers traveled to Almaty, and 194,450 passengers traveled to Shymkent.

The most popular routes remain Astana – Almaty, Astana – Shymkent, Almaty – Shymkent, Astana – Oskemen, and Astana – Aktobe.

High demand for rail travel is traditionally observed during the vacation season, school holidays, and public holidays – in both summer and winter.
