Arys Station Fire Train Assisted in Extinguishing Fire at Oil Depot

On January 13, 2026, an oil product fire occurred at a pumping station on the Arys-Montaytas highway, covering an area of 30 square meters. There was a risk of the fire spreading to an annex building and five adjacent storage tanks.

At the request of the Turkestan Region Department of Emergency Situations, the Arys station fire train was called in to help extinguish the fire.

The fire was contained and completely extinguished by 6:38 AM. Sixty people participated in the firefighting effort, including personnel from the Department of Emergency Situations, the fire train, and other units. Ten pieces of equipment were used to extinguish the fire.

There were no accidents, and there were no casualties. The circumstances and causes of the incident are being investigated by a commission from the Department of Emergency Situations.
