The Altynkol-Khorgos border crossing exceeded its 2025 freight transportation plan

In 2025, more than 16.1 million tons of freight were transported between Kazakhstan and China through the Altynkol-Khorgos border crossing, 9% exceeding the plan agreed upon within the Organization for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD).

Exports to China totaled 5.3 million tons, 20% above plan. Container shipments made a significant contribution, with 3,589 trains traveling through the crossing to Europe, Russia, and Central Asia.

The early fulfillment of the plan confirms the effectiveness of the crossing and strengthens transport cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
