Aktobe railway station reconstruction completed

The reconstruction of the railway station with an area of over 7.4 thousand square meters has been completed in Aktobe. The station is a six-story building including a basement and a technical floor. Following the reconstruction, comfortable and safe conditions have been created for passengers.

The station was updated as part of the railway station modernization program, implemented on the instructions of the Head of State with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport, JSC "Samruk-Kazyna," and the Akimat of the Aktobe region.

The Aktobe railway station was built in 1976.

During the reconstruction, the roof, facade, and utility networks were updated, and the interior decoration of the premises was completed. The building's facade is clad with fiber cement boards. The station is equipped with elevators and escalators. Materials of Kazakhstani manufacture were used during the works. New furniture and equipment were also installed. Landscaping of the adjacent territory was carried out.

The necessary conditions for passengers with reduced mobility have been created at the station.

The average daily passenger traffic of the station is over 4.7 thousand people. Thirty-four passenger trains pass through the station, connecting Aktobe with Astana, Almaty, Oral, Mangistau, Beyneu, Taraz, Shu, Shymkent, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Kokshetau, Kostanay, Burabay Resort, and Atyrau.

International routes connecting Aktobe with cities in Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan also pass through the station. The reconstruction of the station aims to improve the quality of passenger service, create comfortable and safe conditions, and enhance the visual appearance of the railway infrastructure facility.
