On may 23, 2019, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC held the final meeting of the Interstate technical Committee for Standardization of MTK 524 "Railway transport".
The Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC Sauat Mynbayev noted, a special role is given to safety issues in railway transport, so the Company takes an active part in the preparation of interstate standards for technical regulations.
The meeting was attended by representatives of railway administrations of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, as well as relevant institutions.
The Plenipotentiary representatives of the member States of the Committee informed about the work carried out in the field of standardization.
Chairman of the ITC 524 Valentin Gapanovich noted a lot of work to improve and update the Fund of interstate standards for 2018.
The meeting summed up the work of the ITC 524 for 2018, identified strategic objectives for the short term, noted the need to update the work plan of the ITC.
In 2018, 25 interstate standards in the field of railway transport were developed. The work plan of the ITC 524 for 2019 includes 135 rolling and 16 new topics.

The participants of the meeting discussed and unanimously supported the proposal to form a long-term perspective standardization program within the framework of ITC 524.
Within the framework of the event, the most active participants of standardization works were awarded in 2018.
