Transportation of new harvest grain via Kostanay branch of the FT: November results

Over the 19 days of November, 2,359 rail cars with grain weighing 161.4 thousand tons were loaded via the Kostanay branch of freight transportation. Of this volume, a significant portion was sent for export, as well as within Kazakhstan. Thus, 755 rail cars of grain (51.5 thousand tons) were loaded for domestic needs of the country, 1,604 rail cars (109.9 thousand tons) were loaded for export, of which 1,038 rail cars (71.3 thousand tons) were sent to the countries of Central Asia. During the reporting period, 13 grain shipping routes were loaded.

As for milled products, 1,299 rail cars (86.1 thousand tons) were loaded over the 19 days of November. Of these, 303 wagons (20.1 thousand tons) were sent to Kazakhstan, 1,096 wagons (66.0 thousand tons) were sent for export, including 971 wagons (64.3 thousand tons) to Central Asian countries.

Particular attention is paid to the transportation of grain and milled products in containers. During the reporting period, 13.1 thousand tons of grain were loaded in 434 containers (257 flatcars). Milled products were loaded in 40 thousand tons in 1,296 containers (653 flatcars). In addition, 7 organized container routes were formed for the transportation of grain and 21 for milled products.

KTZ pays special attention to the formation of grain routes in the directions of Central Asia, China and through the port of Aktau, which confirms the strategic focus on export transportation. Taking into account the active work on creating organized routes and increasing the volume of transportation, the Kostanay branch continues to effectively ensure the supply of new crops and milled products both to the domestic market and for export.
