The technology window at Altynkol station was effectively used to repair the narrow gauge track (1435mm) at T section of the Park - the state border with a total length of 7 kilometers.
Previously, the repair of this track was carried out manually, now heavy road equipment is used - machine Duomatic made in China. Using this equipment repaired 2 km of railway track on this section.
We, together with Khorgos railway station successfully carried out work on the repair of the section of railway. This is done to ensure the safety of trains at our junction point. Chinese and Kazakh specialists tightened all the butt bolts, fixed the iron spikes, made a completely planned straightening of the tracks. Works were executed qualitatively," - said Zhandos Untakbayev, Altynkol station’s head.
"The cooperation of the two border stations has had a positive impact on the cargo work. The Chinese side has increased the weight rate to 5 thousand tons of cargo, before it was 3 thousand 200 tons as much as possible",- said G. Untakbayev.
Since the beginning of 2018, 770 container trains have been sent from Altynkol station. Last year there were 420 such trains.
