The development of transit transport

Given the favorable geographical location of Kazakhstan, the development of transit potential is one of the priority tasks of the JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Temir Joly".

In order to effectively use the transit potential of priority measures for its development are:

  • The development of border Dostyk and strengthening of the railway line Aktogai-Dostyk to increase the bandwidth and processing power Dostyk to 25 million tons by 2015.
  • Construction of a new line Altynkol - Zhetygen (298.4 kilometers of railway) and the second international railway border crossing Altynkol - Khorgos. Construction of a new line Uzen - the state border with Turkmenistan (145.7 kilometers of railway).
  • Create a part of "NC "KTZH" global logistics company - JSC" National Center for development of transport logistics "in order to implement an integrated national transport and logistics system in Kazakhstan.
  • Transfer of control of "NC "KTZH" International Center for Cross-Border Cooperation" Horgos "to form a single, integrated transportation and logistics services and effective development of traffic in East - West and in the opposite direction.
  • Expanding the influence of "NC "KTZH" in the market of container (multi-modal) in a strategic partnership with Europe's largest operator of PC "Transcontainer" on the basis of a joint venture of JSC "Kedentransservice."
  • Implementation of a flexible rate policy on the carriage of goods in transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at establishing competitive rate conditions in a highly competitive with alternative routes and modes of transport.
  • Organization of container trains on the transcontinental routes on a regular basis on a fixed schedule approved by the repetition of the principle of "just in time".
