JSC "Passenger transport" sent more than 5.5 million passengers, sold over 120 thousand of e-tickets

Since the beginning of the current year JSC "Passenger transport" sent more than 5.5 million passengers. In contrast with data for four months of the last year this indicator increased in14.3%. During the same period in 2011 the total number of sent passengers was 4.8 million.

Passenger traffic for the first 4 months of the current year compared to the same period of the last year increased by 13.5% to $ 4,216,683 thousand passenger km (in 2011 - 3,713,626 thousand passenger km).

Also there is a tendency of the increasing indicators of electronic ticket sales. So for the 4 months of this year the total number of sold e-tickets  amounted to 120,029 units. 20,131 tickets were sold over the same period of the last year.

THE CREATION OF LOGISTICS CLIMATE WAS DISCUSSED IN KTZ WITH THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY

Today round table was held in Astana in JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan. The participants discussed the main measures taken by the JSC "NC" KTZ" for the development of transportation and logistics capacity in Kazakhstan, as well as increase the country's transit potential.

The main agenda was the development strategy of transport - logistical system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, FEZ "Khorgos - East Gate", the prospects for the development of ICBC "Khorgos", aims and objectives of the Transport and Logistics Association KAZLOGISTICS, as well as the problematic issues in the transport logistics.

Mambetalin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ashes «KAZLOGISTICS» Y.Lavrinenko , Deputy Director of RSE "Aktau International Commercial Sea Port" D. Kutpanbaev, executive director of the Association of Representatives of Maritime Transport N. Yudin, Association of Kazakhstan airports K. Bekmuhambetov, Union KazATO I. Janson, national secretary of the IPC "TRACECA" M. Saduova and other representatives of more than 150 transportation and logistics companies, public organizations and businesses - communities of the country was chaired by the Vice-President of JSC "NC "KTZ" Logistics Erkhat Iskaliev.

Vice-President of JSC "NC" KTZ "Logistics Erhat Iskaliev pointed out:" it is very important to hold such meetings between KTZ and the business community to launch constructive dialogue. This round table will be a new milestone in our communication. We are ready to partner with transportation companies to create a favorable logistics environment in the country. Need to combine business and government. We want to create long-term rules in logistics".

In order to develop common indicators for discussion, in the framework of an enlarged meeting the "Strategy of development of transport and logistics industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan" was presented the fundamental principles of which is to unite all members of the transport system to achieve common goals established.

The basic approach of this strategy have been approved by the Government, on the basis of what is now KTZ with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan is working to establish common objectives (indicators) for all types of transportation services.

The round table participants had the opportunity to ask the competent speakers of all the questions, in particular, they discussed the measures taken for the development and establishment of Kazakhstan as a trade, logistics and business hub of the Central Asian region as well as legislative initiatives and challenges facing business in the conduct of its financial activities.

As a result of actions taken note of all received from the business community regarding the proposals for further development of transport and logistics system.

Toktar Aubakirov has became an adviser to the President of “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”

Toktar Aubakirov was appointed as the advisor to the President of KTZ, today he was introduced by Askar Mamin, the President of KTZ.

Toktar Aubakirov is the first kazakh astronaut. In 1965 he enrolled at the Armavir Higher Military Aviation School defense. Then he graduated from High School of test pilots named after Gromov and the Moscow Aviation Institute named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze.

He has a unique experience in the design office and in the National Aerospace Agency of RK. Doctor of Technical Sciences. Hero of the Soviet Union, Halyk Kakharmany. He was elected deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the RK.

Results of the contest for naming the international passenger trains of JSC "Passenger transport"

Every international train now has its own name. JSC "Passenger transport" summed up the relevant competition held among the employees of JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Railways", its affiliates and subsidiaries.

4 trains in international traffic are called "Zhіbek Joly" (Almaty - Urumchi), "Eurasia" (Astana - St. Petersburg), "Saryarka" (Karagandy - Moscow), "Astanalyk" (Astana - Kiev), as well as an interregional train purpose - "Zhetysu" (Almaty - Petropavlovsk).

According to the Corporate standards of the passenger trains of JSC "Passenger transport", brand trains as well as international and inter-regional passenger trains should have individual names associated with the history, geography, culture or traditions of Kazakhstan.

In 2010 luxury № 71/72 Astana - Moscow train took the first name "Kazakhstan". The same year another comfortable train in international traffic № 7/8 Almaty - Moscow was awarded the title "Alatau".

These names of trains have been identified on the basis of a competition organized by JSC "Passenger transport" held from March 16 to April 6, 2012. Commission has considered 217 proposals submitted from 51 participants from the staff of the central office, branches and subsidiaries of JSC "NC "KTZ".

By decision of the Commission, the following winners of the competition offered the best names:

1. A. Seysembekov Karigul Arinovich, chief specialist of the organization of a contract with branch owners of JSC "NC "KTZ"- Management of the transport process of "NC "KTZ" proposed the name Zhetisu;

2. Sarsenova Shynar Іztaikyzy, chief of the Directorate of Technical backbone of "NC "KTZ"- Zhіbek Joly;

3. Dancheva Tatyana, the Chief of the servicing of the regional branch of the "North" of JSC "Passenger transport" - Eurasia;

4. Kraubaev Asylbek Mutalipovich, Head of the translation and correction of documents of the Economic Management of JSC "NC "KTZ"- Saryarka;

5. Akhmetbekov Askar Maksutovich, Senior Specialist of Marketing Department service of JSC "Passenger transport" - Astanalyk.

Vice-president of production of JSC "Passenger transport" Talgat Lesov congratulated the winners and presented them with special gifts.

We pay tribute for veterans!

The festive meeting on the occasion of Victory Day was held on May 4 in the main office of the national company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy". The main heroes of the holiday were veterans of the World War II and rail transport.

The veterans met in the morning at the monument of defenders of the Fatherland in Astana, laid flowers, commemorating the wartime comrades with moment of silence.

Honoring Veterans in the company began with warm words of congratulations of the Vice President for Human Resources and Social Affairs Askhat Akchurin.

- We meet with you on the eve of the 67th anniversary of Great Victory. The Best years of life you have dedicated the fight against fascism, the struggle for the restoration after the war, shedding blood and sweat. Many of you have been a huge distance from the beginning of the war to a victorious end of May 9, 1945. We admire your courage, love of country, and the ability to remain humble, true patriots. On behalf of the company's management, let me express my sincere thanks, gratitude for your invaluable great feat. Eternal memory to those who did not return from the battle in May 1945!

Many veterans have passed the front of the railway, and after they have devoted years of rebuilding war-torn economy. They complied, and this duty to their country as soon as possible having established the national economy, rebuilt the city, the new company.

Kazakhstan and Hungary strengthen cooperation in the transport logistics sphere

Within the official visit of Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban to the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 3-4, 2012, a number of meetings on discussion of the trade-economic issues and investment, economic cooperation with President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov were held in Astana.

Also the third session of intergovernmental commission for trade-economic cooperation was held. The interim results of the cooperation were announced at the session. Moreover, representatives of about 50 Hungarian enterprises took part in the Kazakhstani-Hungarian business forum. During the visit the sides signed interdepartmental and commercial treaties.

They are the memorandum of cooperation between JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” and CJSC “Hungarian State Railways”, which was indorsed by signatures of Vice President of JSC “NC “KTZ” Yerkhat Iskaliyev and Deputy Director General of the Hungarian railways Laszlo Mosoczi.

The document implementation is directed to increase turnover in export and import of the two countries; transportation development on the transcontinental routes in Asia-Europe international communication and in opposite direction. The sides intend to conduct the joint work on projects implementation in the transport-logistics sphere; coordinate efforts on the mutually beneficial cooperation development in the sphere of rail infrastructure modernization, actively use the transit potential of Kazakhstan and Hungary for increase in railway freight on the international transport corridors.

Moreover, the agreement implementation provides organizational and information support on a mutual basis in the logistics field, paying special attention to investment opportunities of Zahony center and FEZ “Khorgos-Eastern Gate.” KTZ and the Hungarian railways intend to develop cooperation in the joint projects in the field of diagnostics, construction, development and modernization of the facilities of the rail infrastructure.

* Hungary is one of the strategic transport hubs of the Middle-Eastern Europe, on its eastern border - Zahony - serves as a node of the Hungarian railway hub with gauge of 1520 mm and 1435 mm. Zahony as the Eastern Gate represents one of the key commercial points of entry in the direction of the European Union not only for Eastern European region, but for rapidly developing Asian countries as well. Qualitative services provided by the national railway company of Hungary and its subsidiary enterprises promote economic and safe railway freight expansion and fruitful commercial ties formation.

On the eve of May holidays workers of JSC "NC" KTZ" took part in the tree planting campaign

Within the campaign of saplings plant in "Nur Otan" Alley located in the Presidential Park in Astana the employees of the Company planted more than four hundred trees. There are green ash, Lombardy poplar, ash, and red willow red.

Upon completion of planting "NC "KTZ" was awarded for participation in the Promotion the letter of thanks on behalf of the Vice-Chairman of the capital branch of NDP "Nur Otan" K.Dzhanabergenov.

Working visit to Dostyk station

On April 27, 2012 the Chairman of Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mazhit Esenbayev and vice-president of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Yermek Kizatov visited Dostyk station Almaty road department.

During the trip the working group visited the objects of "Dostyk" custom’s infrastructure and the railway station.

In particular, they familiarized themselves with the work of freight terminals, with the process of customs clearance of cargo and the conditions of loading and unloading of wagons and containers.

"Dostyk station is an international border crossing point, the transit potential which plays an essential role in maintaining the economy of our state, and that is why the problems faced by employees of the customs authority, working here should be resolved expeditiously and operatively - said M. Esenbayev. - In order to work together, it is necessary to eliminate the problematic aspects that prevent the maximum utilization of the transit potential of Kazakhstan, the acceleration of passage across the border, anti-smuggling economy, and of course - to maintain the image of the customs authorities".

To date, a full range of operations, reception and departure of trains coming across the border are performed

on Dostyk border station. Track the development of the station consists of three two-way dispatch parks and a park for customs inspection of trains and carriages.

The total volume of freight traffic through Dostyk - Alashankou border crossing in 2011 was 16 million tons.

Web portal «KAZLOGISTICS» is a single information window of transport logistics

An information analytical web portal for transport logistics www.kazlogistics.kz called to be an instrument for development of transport logistics field of Kazakhstan has been launched for the first time in the Kazakhstani Internet space.

The new web resource was created by JSC “National Centre for Transport Logistics Development” with the support of JSC “National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” and the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is directed to the single instrument creation for development of the transport logistics field of Kazakhstan by delivery of relevant information about the transport logistics services market and international economic activity.

One of the main principles of the web portal is openness of the state policy in the transport field by creation of a platform for a dialogue between business and power. Thus, for the analysis and estimation of the external economic activity of Kazakhstan the web portal represents a wide range of statistical information of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Customs Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC “NC “KTZ” and a number of the state and international organizations, the analysis of which is updated on a regular basis by the experts of the Logistics Centre.

Today there are proposed strategic documents of the transport field development for the attention of the web resource users. They are the Master plan of the transport logistics system of Kazakhstan and the Master plan of development of the free economic zone “Khorgos-Eastern Gate” containing a full analysis, prospects and future tasks as well as information about the plans of their implementation.  

There are also represented the relevant information about the implementation of the project FEZ “Khorgos-Eastern Gate” and infrastructural facilities of the country such as construction of railways and highways, transport logistics centers, and about transport corridors of Kazakhstan and neighboring states.
